Post Office customers are concerned about how they will be able to access services such as collecting pensions when the Post Office in Ross closes on April 24th. This is in order for the work to be carried out on the Post Office's new premises at the opposite side of the Maltings.

Currently situated at 6-7 The Maltings the Post Office will close at 5pm on Thursday, April 24th and the new-look Post Office will open at 13-14 The Maltings at 9am on Saturday, May 10th.

While Ross Post Office is closed the nearest Post Office is at Tudorville, however the OIC at Tudorville Post Office, David Thomas, has asked the Ross Gazette to encourage readers to spread the word that the range of services they offer is much more limited than at Ross.

They can do nothing with DVLA, including car tax, passports, cashing cheques of business banking. There is also a strict limit of £300 on cash withdrawals per day.

Mr Thomas said: "Customers will need to go to Hereford or Gloucester for the services we cannot provide or if they need to withdraw more than £300.
