Ross Parishes announces a week full of spiritual and community activities, ranging from morning prayers on Zoom to a youth choir session at St Mary’s. With the aim to engage and support the community, the church is offering a wide variety of events to attend.
Kicking off each day at 9am is a Zoom Morning Prayer session, inviting everyone to start the day on a positive note. Tuesday mornings offer a double feature: ‘Tea and Toast’ and a ‘Community Larder’ at St Mary’s Hall from 9am to 11am. For those dealing with loss, the ‘Just B Bereavement Support Group’ meets at St Mary’s on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 2.30pm.
Come Wednesday, families with young children can attend ‘Toddle and Toast’ at St Mary’s at 8.45am. Craft enthusiasts can join the Craft Group from 11am to 12.30pm on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. For those looking for spiritual guidance, the ‘Ponder and Pray’ session is available on Zoom, on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 11.15am.
Thursdays offer a diverse range of activities. The day starts with a 10am Eucharist service at St Mary’s, followed by a Prayer Group meeting on Zoom at 11.45am. The first Thursday of the month features ‘Messy Church’ at 3.45pm for creative worship, and the day wraps up with a Youth Choir session at 3.30pm.
Sunday, the 22nd of October, presents a host of services, starting with a BCP Communion Service at 8am at St Mary’s. This is followed by a live-streamed Sung Eucharist at 9.30am, a Family Service in Walford at 10.30am, and an Eucharist Service at Brampton Abbotts Village Hall at 11.15am. The day concludes with a Choral Evensong at St Mary’s at 6pm.
