Harry Mynors MH from the Ross Harriers said: “The Ross Harriers are delighted to once again be meeting in Ross-on-Wye and coming past the Market House on Boxing Day this year on our way to trial hunt.
“This festive meet is one of the highlights of the trial hunting calendar for so many people within the local community and it is an event that we look forward to each year.”
Polly Portion from the Countryside Alliance added: “Across the country, hundreds of meets will be taking place on Boxing Day and throughout the festive period, bringing thousands of people together from all walks of life across towns and villages.
“They are the highlight of the festivities for many, particularly those from isolated communities.
“At a time when many high street are struggling, meets inject energy and life and offer many local businesses, including ours, cafes and shops, a much needed economic boost at a crucial time of the year.
“They are symbolic of the Great British countryside and an event that must be protected and cherished.
Ross Harriers would like to note Trail hunting Is stringently within the law and invites those with concerns to join them for the day and see how trail laying works.
