There will be a change of scenery for those involved with Ross-on-Wye parkrun as local cider-maker Mike Johnson has offered to host an alternative route on his farm.
With the usual course at the Ropewalk still out of action due to the recent floods, Mike’s 65-acre Broome Farm will become a makeshift course for parkrunners on Saturday, March 7.
Speaking to the Gazette about the parkrun plans, Mike said: “Simon Lennane got in contact with us recently as they have been looking for alternative locations for the parkrun, and we were only too happy to help. It has been devastating to see the damage caused in Ross by the recent floods and we are happy to help in anyway we can."Although there is some parking available at the Yew Tree runners are encouraged to share lifts from the Sports Centre.
