Members of Ross Girl Guides and Brownies were at the Ross Market House on Monday, July 31st, selling tea, coffee and cake, to raise funds for a forthcoming trip to Iceland.
One of the members of the Ross Guides, Harriet, has been selected to represent Ross-on-Wye internationally; she will accompany 41 other girls from around the West Midlands on the Iceland trip, which will take place in August 2018.
The trip will be an ultimate adventure, offering the Girlguides the chance to combine exciting activities with some of the most striking and awe inspiring scenery imaginable; crashing waterfalls, rich turquoise lagoons and erupting geysers.
Harriet and the Ross Girl Guides need to raise £1800 for the trip before next August, and the bake sale on Monday marked the first of many fundraising events that will be held in the town.
