When Ross-on-Wye resident, Ray Morris was visited by a local building supplies store recently he saw that plywood, which had been used to wrap more expensive materials was being discarded.
He could immediately see a future for it, and using his extensive knowledge, and interest in church architecture, he set about creating models of local churches.
Mr Morris told the Ross Gazette he has never done anything like this before but has 30 years’ experience in the building trade. So far, Mr Morris has created seven beautiful models, which also contain lights, based on churches within a two and half mile radius of his home.
