Kerne Bridge will be closed on Saturday, March 7 and Wilton Bridge, one of the main access points for Ross-on-Wye, will be closed on Sunday, March 8 from 9.30am until 4.30pm at the latest, to allow for an inspection following recent flooding.
Herefordshire Council’s highways team will be conducting sonar examinations of seven bridges around the county to check for any storm-related damage.
They will need to close the bridges for one day at each location so a thorough inspection can take place.The bridges are at Holme Lacy on March 6, Kerne on March 7, Wilton on March 8, Eaton on March 9, Old Wye on March 10, Bredwardine on March 11 and Kinsham on March 12.
