Local Ross dance school, Dance Your Way, took over Gelatis last Friday evening to shoot an action-packed dance music video.
As part of a new project that has been over six months in preparation, the new video is the first of many the school hopes to produce in conjunction with local businesses.
For the video they chose to create a retro Rock ‘n Roll 1950s themed piece in the style of the musical ‘Grease’.
Ice Cream parlour, Gelatis proved the perfect location with its iconic 50s decor and atmosphere, and owner Tina Scotford-Knapman generously welcomed the school and allowed them to rehearse and film after closing hours.
Filming proved a lengthy process, taking the students three hours to capture a three-minute dance.
Dance school principal and choreographer, Miranda de Barra said: “I am incredibly impressed and proud of our dancers. Dancing at full speed on the night with such intensity for over three hours they still delivered their A-game performance right up to the last take.
“If any businesses are inspired by this idea please get in touch.”
