ROSS Court care home in Ross-on-Wye has been celebrating its dedicated activities team as part of National Activity Providers & Professionals Week, held annually from January 20 to January 24.
The event acknowledges the vital work of activity professionals, who play an essential role in enriching the lives of residents and patients.
These dedicated individuals are responsible for creating and delivering a wide range of activities that support the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of those in care.
Staff and residents at the care home, which is run by Barchester Healthcare, expressed their gratitude to the activities team for their commitment to providing engaging, tailored entertainment every day.
To show their appreciation, residents and staff at Ross Court presented the activities team with a thoughtful array of gifts, including boxes of delicious chocolates, vibrant bouquets of flowers, and a collection of heartfelt cards.
These tokens of gratitude were carefully prepared by both staff and residents, with many of the cards featuring personal messages of thanks and admiration for the team’s unwavering dedication. The gifts served as a meaningful expression of the home's collective gratitude.
General manager Agda-Claudia Vasilateanu said: “It is so wonderful to be able to celebrate National Activity Providers & Professionals Week and thank our fantastic activities teams for all their hard work by organising something for them for a change!”
The team at Ross Court delivers a varied life enrichment programme, including physical, mental, and spiritual activities designed to match the interests and abilities of residents.
Many residents shared their thoughts on the celebration, saying: “We’ve all had such a lovely time today. It really is a joy to be able to thank our wonderful activities coordinators for all that they do. They really make such a difference every day.”
