Following the closure of the Larruperz Centre due to Coronavirus, a fundraising page has been set up to help raise funds for the community centre.
After being forced to cancel several bookings due to the increasing threat of Coronavirus, directors at the Larruperz Centre were forced to take the difficult decision to close the centre until further notice.
The increasing outbreak of Covid-19 had seen many groups that regularly use the centre for events cancel bookings and following official government guidelines directors at the centre decided to close the social club and bar facilities on Friday, March 20.
A spokesperson for the centre spoke to the Ross Gazette and said: "This was a very difficult decision for the directors to make, but the health and well-being of our staff and members must come first.
"We would like to thank the community of Ross on Wye for all their support and look forward to welcoming you back at the centre as soon as we are able re-open."
The Centre - which celebrated its 30th anniversary earlier this year - has been a major support for the Ross-on-Wye community for many years, and relies heavily on funds raised from hosting social evenings and other events to maintain its running.
