Year seven students at John Kyrle High School organised a charity bake sale raising £230 for Cancer Research UK.
Students approached the teachers at their school asking to organise a bake sale to raise money for the cancer charity.
Once getting the go ahead, the students showed their motivation, organisation and maturity in planning and running the event themselves and ended up raising more than £200.
Unfortunately, the student who came up with the idea came down with a virus and was unable to join the bake sale. Instead, he delegated his planned bake of browned butter and chocolate chip cookies.
The bakers want to thank everyone who made a donation and made the event a success.
