A father is appealing for votes for his daughter to become a brand ambassador for an ice skating company.

Luke Walding, general manager of The Brecon & Radnor Express in Brecon, a newspaper which is a member of the Tindle Group like the Ross Gazette, said his daughter, Lily, is one of 16 finalists who are in with the chance of becoming a Two Birds, which is an ice skating shop, ambassador.

The seven-year-old ice skater, from Cwmbran, puts in over 20 hours of practice a week in Cardiff and travels across the country for competitions.

Luke said: “Through the hard work and dedication from training 20 plus hours a week she deserves everybody to vote for her – she’s only seven and she puts all that effort in. I am very proud, she’s an amazing ice skater and an amazing person.”

Two ice skaters will be chosen to become brand ambassadors following the competition – one from the under 12 category and another from the over 12 category.

The proud father-of-two said: “When I watch Lily compete, for those two to four minutes on the ice, its like the whole world disappears and its just her.

“The way she performs to the music completely captivates my attention, a feeling of being almost hypnotised by how amazing she is.

“Her dedication and passion for ice skating is second to none and I honestly believe she has the ability to become something special.”

To vote for Lily, go to the Two Birds website and watch her personal video before filling in the form. Only one vote is allowed per email address.

Voting will close on Friday, March 15th at 6pm and the winners will be announced live on the Two Birds London Facebook page.
