Planning permission has been granted to Llangrove Village Hall to raise the existing roof and create two new extensions with revised access arrangements and roof and wall materials.

This was further to a previous application, that was given permission April 2014, for re-covering and raising the roof of the village hall. The new application kept that proposal, to raise and replace the roof, along with a new proposal to extend the hall and also to enhance the access arrangements with new entrance doors, ramped access, fire escape and terrace/side access doors.

New toilet facilities and disabled access toilets will be provided, along with increased storage space, new committee room and an enlarged main hall space.

Llangrove Parish Council did not raise any objections to the planning application, but the Parish Clerk, Peter Harries, told the Case Officer, Carl Brace, “We discussed this application at our meeting on June 27th. The point was made that it would be better to have a completely new building as the existing is in a poor state of repair.”
