THERE are just a few days left in which residents of Herefordshire and can nominate their healthcare heroes.

The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is encouraging people who have accessed NHS community and mental health services in the past 12 months to nominate an outstanding team, or staff member for the prestigious Patient Choice award. 

The award recognises staff who have gone above and beyond in their role to make a positive difference to their patients. 

Last year, the Trust provided care to over a million people across a range of services including mental health and learning disabilities, community hospitals, minor injury units, health visiting, specialist dental services and sexual health.

Robert Mackie, chief executive said: “I look forward to celebrating the outstanding work that our staff and teams do and recognising those who wholeheartedly went above and beyond expectations during the last year.

“All the categories in our awards are special, but to be nominated for the impact you’ve had on the life of a patient, service user or their families and carers is a real honour.”

Submit your nominations for a staff member or team now via the nomination form on the trust’s website hacw.nhs.uk/patientchoice2024. Entries close on Friday, July 19. The winners will be announced at the trust’s annual staff awards event, due to take place in autumn.
