Residents at Smallbrook Gardens are delighted that work to improve the drainage near to their homes has been successful. Despite the torrential downpours of the past few days the road and pathway outside their homes is much easier to navigate than it has been in the past.

Councillor Andrew Atkinson was delighted to inspect the new gullies and see for himself how they were working. He was pleased to report that work at Silver Birches in Ross had also been successful and a new programme of drain clearances should mean that the flooding situation which occurred last year should not happen again. However a new sandbag store has been constructed just in case. Cllr Atkinson said:?"Hopefully we will never need it but its nice to know it is there if we do."
