MULBERRY Foster Care, a leading provider of homes to over 40 children across the counties, has announced the grand opening of its state-of-the-art Sensory Room and Conference Centre.
The organisation says it marks a significant milestone for, which has long been committed to enhancing the well-being of children in its care and the wider community.
Late in 2023, Mulberry Foster Care embarked on a mission to broaden its services and transform into a community hub.
Situated in a picturesque rural setting just outside Ross-on-Wye, the newly unveiled Conference Suite offers a spacious and versatile venue capable of comfortably accommodating up to 36 individuals for conferences, training sessions, or meetings of any kind.
With flexible arrangements to suit various needs, the group says attendees can expect a conducive environment supported by amenities such as complimentary tea and coffee, with additional packages including catering available upon request.
Recognising the growing demand for sensory facilities in the area, Mulberry Foster Care has also unveiled a purpose-built Sensory Room. Designed to cater not only to the needs of the young people in their foster families care but also to children throughout the community, the Sensory Room is now available for public use.
Schools, local authorities, charities, businesses, and individuals alike are encouraged to take advantage of this innovative space, tailored to provide therapeutic experiences and support holistic development.
Shaun Burnett, Director of Mulberry Foster Care, expressed his enthusiasm for the new facilities, stating, “We are incredibly proud to open these spaces, which we believe will positively impact the lives of hundreds of young people in our community. Whether a child requires the calming environment of our Sensory Room or organisations seek a professional setting for their gatherings, Mulberry Foster Care is here to serve.”
In addition to opening its doors to the public, Mulberry Foster Care invites generous volunteers and sponsors to join in their mission. With several local businesses and individuals already expressing interest in sponsoring sessions for children, Mulberry Foster Care aims to further expand its reach and support network. Shaun Burnett urges, “If you know a child who could benefit from our Sensory Room or wish to contribute to our cause, please don’t hesitate to reach out.”
