Following a call to the Ross Gazette office last week from someone concerned that a tree was being removed on the Industrial Estate a reporter duly arrived to see what was going on. The owners of Ross Garden Store were quick to reassure Gazette readers that the work was agreed with Herefordshire Council.

After six years of dealing with a small car park, they have managed to secure additional parking space for their customers. Following a great deal of support from many of our customers and people in the town (not least Councillors Phil Cutter and Andrew Atkinson) they secured the use of some council land, situated directly opposite their driveway.

The main parking area is now available for use and they will be planting shrubs and trees to soften the look of the area in due course.

Look out for the 'overflow carpark' signs!
