South Hereford and Ross Harriers Pony club intermediate girls tetrathlon team stormed home to victory in the recent tetrathlon championships held at Hartpury College on August 19th -21st.

In this challenging four phase sport of pistol shooting, swimming, running and cross country riding, saw the intermediate girls team of Tilley Jewell, Lucy May Turner, Kitty Jewell and Hannah Prestwich out class 19 other teams from Great Britain and Ireland to secure the intermediate team championship title with Tilley achieving a national 4th and a 5th international place and her sister Kitty achieving best shoot of 960 out of a possible 1000 with Lucy May achieving maximum points on the technically challenging cross country riding course.

Aud Turner, the team manager, said all team members must be congratulated for thier excellent performances in this competition. To achieve a victory at this level is no mean feat for a small Pony Club from Herefordshire.
