Shoppers were concerned to find Morrisons supermarket in Ross-on-Wye closed yesterday evening and the Ross Gazette has been informed that the store should have reopened today, Wednesday, July 20th, by 1pm.

The problem was a fault with the store’s power supply (not a power supplier issue) which caused a power cut last night.

The cut triggered the emergency lighting and customers were evacuated from the store.

Engineers were soon on site to fix the problem and colleagues from neighbouring stores were helping to get the store re-stocked and ready to open.
