The main award presented this year at the Goodrich Cricket Club presentation evening was to Mike Evans in recognition of his many years of service to the club.

The special, surprise award was made at the club's annual awards dinner held on November 12th at The Old Court, Whitchurch.

Mike Evans was recognised for his services to the club in the role of club secretary, which until this year, he had held for the past 24 years. He was awarded a painting of a scene from one of this season's games held at The Avenue.

He was presented with the award by Club President Mr Eric Winchester who reminisced about the first time that he had seen Mike arrive at the ground back in the late 1960s.
