After four straight victories in the group stages against St Mary's, Aylestone, Wigmore and Whitecross Schools, John Kyrle progressed to the semi-final. In an entertaining game, John Kyrle came out on top, beating Lady Hawkins, and securing a place in the final. The final was a close game against Whitecross School which ended 0-0 after normal time. The game went into extra time and John Kyrle won with a 'golden try' scored by captain, Chris Thomas.
