A LARGE crowd turned out in force to watch the annual torchlight parade as part of Ross-on-Wye Christmas Carnival.

The parade, organised by Ross Lions featured members of all of the town’s youth groups from Scouts and Guides to Brownies, Cubs and Rainbows.

The parade departed from Brookend Street led by Scouts carrying a flaming torch while the rest of the parade had an incredible array of lanterns and torches were used by the youth groups.

The parade then weaved its way through to Broad Street followed by Santa on his sleigh, and were greeted by the Mayor of Ross, Cllr Bev Pope as it reached the Market House, where the large crowd was waiting.

Children under the age of 13 received a present from Santa under the arches of the Market House.
