Do you know of anyone who might be interested in working as an interpreter for the Herefordshire Language Network?
The Herefordshire Language Network currently provides interpreters and translators for around 500 assignments every month for public services, schools and voluntary organisations in Herefordshire, and last year provided services in more than 40 different languages.
“Foundation Training for Interpreters” will be delivered in a Hereford city venue over two consecutive Saturdays: 13 and 20 April (9am-5pm). The course is an unaccredited, 14-hour introduction to interpreting techniques, and is an excellent starting point for anyone who has ever considered interpreting. Once you’ve completed the training, it could lead to paid work in the county. The course costs £30, and all languages are welcome, no matter how rare – or how common – you think it might be.
