Herefordshire Growth Hub and the newly formed Herefordshire Skills Board are calling on local businesses of all sizes to join the upcoming Herefordshire Skills and Employers Roundtable event.
The event will be an opportunity for local employers to discuss current and future workforce skills requirements and help inform local education and skills provision.
It will encourage communication and engagement between local businesses, education and training, government agencies, key sectoral organisations and Herefordshire Council to help identify the future delivery of skills provision, ensuring education providers cultivate the skills that local employers really need.
Monday 5 February, 2024, 12noon - 2.30pm at Shell Store, Skylon Park, Hereford.
There is a limited number of spaces available, so to book, or for more information, visit the Eventbrite page.
Cllr Graham Biggs, Cabinet Member Economy and Growth, said: “One of the biggest barriers to growth is workforce planning and an appropriate level of available skills in the workforce. This event is not only an opportunity for local businesses to shape the crucial area of education and skills. It will also inform business leaders of some of the many ways in which working with skills and training providers can support their growth plans
“We hope to attract a cross-section of businesses of different sizes and from different sectors, so I would encourage any local business to register their interest without delay.”
