Ross-on-Wye’s links to the group Mott the Hoople and hedgehogs could be celebrated with the launch of a new brewery.

Since taking on and renovating the old Alton Court Brewery Tap House, Nigel and Chris have been increasingly aware of the links with Alton Court Brewery, which was the last brewer in Ross when it stopped brewing in 1956.

The couple, who are real ale fans themselves, would now like to bring back brewing to the town, although on a smaller scale, by starting their own artisan micro brewery.The Tap House has already become important to the local community and Nigel said that this is why they have turned to a crowdfunder appeal as they need the community to support this initiative.
