The winner of the Ross-on-Wye Mayor’s Christmas card competition has been announced.
Following the success of the Christmas card competition last year, current Mayor Cllr Ed O’Driscoll, decided to run the competition again this year.
Ross Town Council were inundated with fantastic festive entries, and the mayor was impressed with the quality of the designs.
After much deliberation the mayor chose a beautiful hedgehog design by Freya Powell from John Kyrle High School.
Cllr Ed O’Driscoll said: “It was hard to choose a winner, but I really liked Freya’s design of a hedgehog, a symbol of Ross, with a festive twist.”
The mayor recently met Freya to offer his congratulations and to present her with a hedgehog themed gift.
The cards will soon be available to purchase from the Town Council offices at the Corn Exchange, High Steet for £5 for a pack of 5, with all profits going to the Mayor’s charity, the Ross Community Development Trust.
