Parents are being invited to download a range of fun resources to help get their children talking as part of a local campaign to mark children’s mental health week.
Now We’re Talking is teaming up with the Starting Well Partnership and children’s mental health teams (CAMHS) to encourage conversations with children and young people, through fun activities and games available on our bespoke children’s mental health website: hacw.nhs.uk.
The theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is ‘Let’s Connect’ and the importance of taking time to have meaningful conversations about mental health with children and young people in your care.
Activities include: Let’s Connect board game, Wellbeing Fortune Teller, Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Mind Map.
Alongside these downloadable resources and more, we have also produced some helpful posters which map out the support available to children, older children and adults which you may also find useful. These posters are available from the Now We’re Talking website and make it easier to access the right support for children and young people, and their parents/ carers.
CAMHS is delivered by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, which provides mental health and learning disability services across both counties. It also runs community hospitals, nursing and therapy and other children’s services across Worcestershire.
