A little bit of sunshine will be brightening up John Kyrle High School on Wednesday, September 26th when local optician's son Dan Scott and his band, Daniel and the Scandals, call in for a special performance on their school tour.

"By The Sunshine" is the summer single from the brightly coloured, fun loving, Brighton based band who want to bring fun back into the charts. With a happy, youthful sound and tongue in cheek lyrics, it's not just teen girls who are taking notice of this cheeky new band.

A summer of touring schools across the UK has proved to be a great success for the band, attracting the attention of a growing audience.

The band has also recorded a fun, feel good video to go alongside the single release. It was recorded in Brighton on one of the sunniest days of the year and their open-top bus journey around the town really complements the lyrics.

Ever since the release of their first single 'I Love You (There You Go I Said It!)' in January, which the Ross Gazette covered, everything's been a bit mad!

After achieving "Record of the Week" on industry site RecordOfTheDay.com and national radio-play from the BBC they have had a lot of interest from the industry.

Following the success of their UK Schools Tour in June/July, they have organised a Mini Schools Tour around some of the schools in Herefordshire.

So far they have confirmed John Masefield on Tuesday, September 25th, John Kyrle on September 26th, Info Fest (HSFC, Tech and Art College) on the Thursday and a special evening 'Rock Night' show at Bishops on the Friday.
