The Ross Branch of the British Legion has a new website and a new logo and is going from strength to strength after a very shaky time at the end of last year.

Readers will remember that the branch won an important Cup for their work within the county on January 25th. This was due to a tremendous amount of hard work being carried out by a very few branch members.

The branch has also been working on its new website since before Christmas. The members hope that this website will be one of the keys to help them grow and become even more successful.

In order to go from strength to strength, the branch needs more people to get on board the committee.

The main purpose for the Legion is to help those who are serving their country or who have done so in the past. So fundraising is a vital part of their work.

The branch also needs a Community Secretary to liaise with schools and special interest groups, particularly those comprising younger generations including Cadet, Scout and Guide groups. This person could also connect with local businesses.

Other new roles include a Media Secretary looking after publicity and a web-master looking after the branch website and the Ross presence on the Legion website.

Come aboard as a committee member. Come aboard anyway as a member. You will be equally welcome.

If you are energetic and have time to help, the branch wants to hear from you.
