Madam, As you may know, Ross-on-Wye is twinned with the village of Namutumba in Uganda and every year Sixth Form students from the John Kyrle High School visit there.

It is already a well-established Community Link with Ross Rotary, Ross Lions, several businesses and individuals as well as most of Ross' churches and many local primary schools linked to counterparts out there.

The Town Council recently made the link official and there is a group of Ross people trying to organise broader support for this venture amongst the townspeople of Ross-on-Wye

With this in mind, The Mayor, Cllr. John Edwards, would like to invite those interested to a meeting and slide show on the twinning of Ross-on-Wye and Namutumba at John Kyrle High School, Room 92 on Thursday, December 10th at 7pm.

The purpose of the meeting is to highlight what different organisations have accomplished so far and, hopefully, to plan a way forward for the future.
