The Friends of Ross Hospital hosted their annual summer fête on Saturday, June 4th. The sun shone, as funds were raised for the Ross-on-Wye Community Hospital.
The fete, which was held in the courtyard garden at Ross Community Hospital, was very well attended by local residents, community groups, the Friends of Ross Hospital, and members of the hospital staff.
At the opening of the fete, the Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Cllr David Ravenscroft introduced Joy Gregory, who is the same age as Queen Elizabeth II; she is 90 this year. Mrs Gregory is also a former Chair of the Friends of Ross Hospital. She said that the Friends of Ross Hospital work very hard to raise funds for a much-needed facility in the community. Mrs Gregory was full of praise for the hospital itself, and its dedicated doctors, nurses and staff.
The Carnival Princess, Maddie Morgan, presented Mrs Gregory with a bouquet of flowers, and the fête was opened.
