FIREFIGHTERS worked through the night to put out a blaze at a farm building a mile from Ross.
Crews from Ross-on-Wye and Whitchurch fire stations joined colleagues from Ledbury and Leominster when the alarm was raised just after 7.30pm on Friday (August 30) at a farm at Hildersley.
They fought the blaze, which started in the roof, until after midnight and reported it completely out at 2.12pm.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Three Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews, one each from Ross-on-Wye, Whitchurch and Ledbury Fire Stations, plus the water carrier from Leominster, were called at 7.38pm on August 30 to an agricultural building fire at a farm in Hildersley, Ross-on-Wye.
"A fire in the roof of an empty building, around eight metres by six metres, was well alight."
