LOCAL children whiled away an afternoon at a Teddy Bears; picnic enjoying food, activities and listening to stories.
The Ross-on-Wye Family Hub and Ross Children's Centre hosted the successful event at Ross Community Garden in Old Gloucester Road.
Not only did the children bring traditional bears with them, they also brought an array of other stuffed animal characters to the picnic.
Among the activities was a Teddy bear trail, garden games and a reading sessions by Simon Beeden, the librarian at Ross Library.
Ross Family Hub has recently benefited, through funding from The Safer Communities Fund, a new family worker,
Tina Knapman, who took up this role in June, is based at the Community Garden and is supporting families in the local community.
