Garway Fun Day will be taking place on Saturday August 27 on Garway Common.
Organisers say over the last few years this fun day has gained a reputation for being a very special event and people come from villages round about.
Entertainment on offer this weekend includes a novelty dog show (waggiest tail features!), fancy dress parade, produce/craft/art competitions, live music and dancing, wacky races and sports, and many stalls to enjoy – along with the welly wanging of course!
And you won’t go hungry or thirsty with lovely refreshments, cakes, teas and a barbecue to choose from.
There are also two extra interesting attractions this year.
A large hay bale sand pit for all the fun of the beach, and a quality nearly new clothes stall.
All the events take place on the common by the new children’s playground, where the young ones can enjoy the new equipment, including their favourite – the Flying Sausage!
