John Kyrle High School staff and students were delighted to receive a complimentary letter about the students who were enjoying a trip to South Africa recently.
Irene Stone, from Scotland, wrote to Headteacher, Nigel Griffiths to say: “I have recently returned from a trip to South Africa. On Sunday, I was on the same boat to Robben Island as your students and I just wanted to say what an absolute credit they are to your school.
“They were polite, considerate, attentive and looked so smart in their outfits.
“They paid attention to the lady doing the safety demo on the boat whilst another separate group of tourists talked all through it. They came across as a totally delightful group of young people.
“Often our youngsters get a bit of a hard press, hence I just wanted to share how impressed both my husband and I were with the whole group. What a credit they are to you, your staff, the school and themselves.”See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
