St Joseph’s RC Primary School and Nursery is celebrating after re-affirming its status as a “good” school. St Joseph’s were inspected by Ofsted on 19th September 2018.
Her Majesty’s Ofsted Inspector, Mark Sims, said: “The school has overseen remarkable improvements in writing outcomes and results for year 6 in 2018 are very high, well above the national average.”
He also praised Nursery and Reception’s outdoor provision. He said: “The two separate outdoor environments for the Nursery and Reception classes are stunning, with 100% of Reception children achieving a Good Level of Development in 2018.”
The inspector noted that outcomes for pupils in mathematics at Key Stage 1 are consistently above the national average.
Overall the school community is delighted with such positive outcomes.
