Pupils at St Joseph’s RC Primary School thought about the hopes they have for themselves, for the present and future, during Aspirations Week at the school.
Hayley Francis, Headteacher at St Joseph’s, told the Ross Gazette: “With the kind support of parents and local community businesses we were lucky enough to have people from all walks of life and careers come in to the school and talk to the children about their jobs and what they entailed.
“The children were delighted to hear about all sorts of jobs they had never even thought about before, from a steel worker to an accountant to a chef and a policeman.”
Aspirations week ended on Friday, May 19th, and the children came to school dressed as the occupations they hope to be; there was a very broad range, from farmers, ballet dancers, police officers, doctors, vets, midwives, motorbike racers, and an astronaut, just to name a few.
