Pupils at a village school near Ross-on-Wye took a step back in time recently. Oak Class pupils at Llangrove CE Academy, together with their teachers, were transported back to January 1960.
The school hall was rearranged to mimic the layout of Llangrove Primary School in 1960 and the children were taught lessons by former teachers Mrs Pridgeon and Mr Winrow.
The children were then visited by a former pupil and resident of the adjacent School House, Chris Wall. Mr Wall talked to the children about his memories of the school, its teachers and how Llangrove village has changed over the past 60 years.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
