The pupils and staff at Gorsley Goffs School, near Ross-on-Wye, are very proud of the fabulous new mosaic depicting 200 years of history which has recently been fixed on the wall of their school.

Each child in the school, as well as those who left last year, had the chance to work with local artist Rachel Shilston to attach pieces of the mosaic and collectively create the final stunning piece of artwork.

The mosaic begins with the birth of Edward Goff and tells the story of his life and how Gorsley Goffs School came into being and continues to flourish 200 years later.

Executive Head Diana Atkinson told the Gazette: “It is a really fantastic piece of artwork and an amazing opportunity for each child in the school to be involved in this historic piece of work.”
