Ninety pupils from Walford Primary School experienced the first signs of spring during a fabulous trip to Hopes Ash Farm, at Hope Mansell, near Ross-on-Wye.
Farmer, Rob Davies and his wife, Rachel, took the children on an exciting tour of the farm to see newborn calves wearing snazzy jackets to keep them warm and robots milking the cows.
The children were delighted to play with their buckets and spades on the grain mountain and had tremendous fun climbing in the hay bale maze and tower. Everyone made a seed bomb of wild flowers to plant in their garden at home and the children were particularly enthralled to take part in an exciting Easter Egg Hunt.
Headteacher, Louise George, said, “We are so fortunate to have wonderful people like Rob and Rachel Davies who go the extra mile to involve schools in their local community. Despite being incredibly busy people, they organised a day that the children will never forget. It was a joy to see them all returning to school happy, laughing and telling everyone they met that this was the best day they had ever had!”
Rob and Rachel Davies simply asked the school to make a donation to Muscular Dystrophy UK.
