Pupils in Year 6 at Walford Primary School said goodbye to their junior school in style last Wednesday, July 20th.
The pupils led a special Leaver’s Assembly where they sang and danced, and shared their hopes for the future.
They all received a special certificate and a pen by the Chair of the Governors, Paul Deneen.
Awards were presented for the best inventions, attendance and to the best Sportsman and Sportswoman.
The Lady Darnley Cup for outstanding contribution to the school was presented to Henry Davies, who is a talented member of Year 6 and wants to become a professional dancer.
The Dawn Bowden Shield for positive contribution to the school was presented to Leo Mudie-Jones.
The Sportsman of the Year is Michael Nixon and Sportswoman of the Year is Freya Phelps. Their trophies were presented by representatives of Ross Labels who sponsored the trophies.
