POLICE Officers attended the Mail Rooms in Ross at around 12.30am on Sunday, October 28th, following a report that the drink of an 18-year-old woman had been spiked. The woman was taken to hospital and a short time later a man was arrested in the King Charles pub in connection with the incident. He has been helping officers with their investigation and inquiries are continuing into the matter.
"Incidents of drink-spiking are rare but we would advise people never to accept drinks from a stranger and only allow someone you trust to buy them. Don't leave your drink unattended and if a drink has an unusual taste, smell or appearance, then leave it. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Ross police station on 0300 333 3000 quoting 11S 281012."
