THE centre of Coleford was taken over by vehicles of every description as the town’s Carnival of Transport returned for its annual Easter Monday festival.

The overcast conditions and some drizzle did not put off the crowds who turned out to see vehicles on two, three and four wheels and numbers increased as the sun made an appearance early in the afternoon.

The oldest of the cars on display was a 1914 Cadillac.

In addition to vehicles, there were stationary engines exhibited by members of the Forest Vintage Vehicle and Machinery Club and a model railways set up by the Forest Model Railway Club.

Among those displaying their vehicles were members of the Royal Forest Classic Cars group.
