Illegal use of an electric bike

LOCALLY based police are on the lookout for a man seen riding illegally around the town on an electric bike.

The man is described as wearing dark clothing with a blue motocross helmet riding a black Surron electric bike.

Police have concerns for the man riding the scooter as he is not only a danger to himself, but a danger to other road users and pedestrians.

The use of these electric bikes is illegal on UK roads with any person caught doing so can be issued with a fixed penalty points on their driving licence and a fine.

Fownhope burglary

 

POLICE officers based in Ross-on-Wye are appealing for information following a burglary at Court Gardens at Fownhope during the early hours of Sunday, September 8.

The burglary took place at approximately 2am after the offenders gained entry to an outbuilding by undoing the screws and then forcing the wooden door and stole three high value bicycles and several paintball guns.

It is believed the intruders entered Court Gardens via Nover Wood Drive at 1.45am.

Power tools and golf clubs stolen

 

POWER tools and golf clubs valued at £34,000 were stolen from three vehicles parked up at Ross-on-Wye Golf Club on Friday, September 13, between 7pm and 7:20pm.

Locally based police officers believe that the two alleged offenders, who were driving a black BMW Series 3 estate with a tow bar were responsible.

It is understood that the offenders drilled the locks to gain entry and causing significant damage in the process.

Power tools and golf clubs were taken from the vehicles. The total value of all of the items is approximately £34,000.
