UPDATE: A spokesperson for Morrisons has just informed the Ross Gazette that "there is actually a 30 minute grace period where parking is free." New parking restrictions and payments have started at Morrisons in Ross-on-Wye this morning, Monday, May 21st. Many customers are confused as to whether they need a parking ticket if they are buying fuel or making a short visit.Despite a statement from Morrisons’ Press Office on Friday, May 18th stating that there is no time allowance for customers using Morrisons' car park, staff members told the Ross Gazette that there is a 15 minute allowance for both in-store shopping and for using the fuel station. During the morning (Monday, May 21st) the Ross Gazette was informed by head office that it is in fact a 30 minute allowance.

This will cover collecting Amazon parcels, using the cash machines and getting fuel, but busy periods may require you to purchase a ticket to avoid the £85 fine if you exceed the time limit - particularly at the fuel station.

The ticket machines are located at the front of the main store, and you need to input your full, correct registration number and £2.00.

To claim your money back against a £5.00 minimum purchase in-store, you need to show your ticket to a staff member so they can put the car park voucher through.

This also applies to the self-checkout services, where you will need a staff member to verify your spend and take the £2.00 off your total.
