RESIDENTS and staff at Ross Court Care Home in Ross-on-Wye recently hosted a Border Counties Vintage Club car event.
The event also welcomed students and staff from John Kyrle High School, who enjoyed the cakes on offer as well as the variety of classic cars.
Attendees enjoyed the chance to look at the classic cars and engage with the club members about their prized vehicles. Discussions were had about the unique histories of all the cars on show.
The care home residents enjoyed remembering different makes of cars from their youth and reminiscing about experiences they had in similar vehicles.
Agda-Claudia Vasilateanu, general manager at the care home, expressed her delight and said: “We have had such a lovely day; it is so nice to be able to invite visitors into our gardens again.
“Lots of our residents are car enthusiasts, so they loved being able to look at the cars and chat to their owners. We are planning lots more events like this one to make sure we make the most of the summer months.”
“Enriching activities and engagement are at the heart of the care home’s service. This event is a testament to the community spirit of the home, and all involved with it.”
