ROSS-ON-WYE Town Council is once again looking for someone special to turn on the Christmas lights in the town.
The town centre’s lights will be switched on during a day of festive entertainment at the Christmas Fayre on Sunday, December 1, which is organised by the town council, and is sponsored by Taylor Wimpey,
It will once again run along Broad Street with over 8 stalls selling wonderful gift ideas, lots of food and drink options, plus some fantastic entertainment.
However, the town council would once again like a member of the community to switch on the Christmas lights at 4.30pm on the day of the fayre.
Do you know someone who has done a lot locally, or perhaps someone who deserves to have this special moment?
To nominate a local person who you feel deserves the honour of switching on the lights, please send the name of the local person and why you are nominating them in no more than 100 words by email to [email protected] before the deadline of 5pm on Friday, November 1.
It must be noted that the person nominated must be available on the appropriate day and be willing to switch on the lights in front of the large crowd at the event. The winner will be selected by organisers, Ross Town Council, and Light Switch on sponsors, Rehau and Dawleys.
