Two of Ross-on-Wye’s community cornerstones have partnered to enhance the literary offering in the town.

Rossiter Books and the Friends of St Mary’s recently started working together to bring a programme of author events. The events will run alongside Rossiter Books existing author events programme. The cost of tickets is shared equally between FOSM and Rossiter Books, with Rossiter Books offering £3 off the author’s book at the event. These events will generally be held with local authors, or will be on topics which are of local interest.

The first event held was with Dame Kate Bingham who headed up the race to vaccinate Britain during the pandemic. Over 160 people turned up to listen to this fascinating talk about the challenges faced by Kate and her team during this unprecedented time, as told in Kate’s book, The Long Shot. This event was also run in support of “The New Model Institute for Technology” in Hereford.
