Fifty years ago a young couple, Ken and Audrey Riches, opened a new business, a fish and chip shop in Tudorville. This year Audrey’s Fish Bar is celebrating the businesses’ golden anniversary with a whole year of special events and monthly raffles with amazing prizes, all in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

Audrey’s is still a popular choice for a take away supper for many local families. Sadly Ken, who was also a Mayor of Ross and one of the founders of the Ross Twining Associations in the 1970s, died in the spring last year. The couple had retired from the chip shop in 1993 but Audrey is very interested in everything that happens at what is still a family business.

Her daughter, Sharon, and son-in law, Graham Element, now run Audrey’s, along with their daughter Zoe.
