Bridstow Brownies ended the summer term by holding a family picnic and Enrolments in the local park.

The Brownie Unit met at Dean Hill Park where the Brownies and their siblings played and had fun while enjoying a picnic with their families.

Brown Owl, Claire Lines said: “It was a lovely evening, and what makes it even more special is that we also took this opportunity to Enrol six new Brownies and welcome them officially into our Unit.”

The Brownies have also recently held a fundraising event to raise money for Myhre Syndrome Awareness. They had a cheque to the value of £186 to hand over to Becky and Maddie, who were there to accept the money on behalf of Myhre UK. Claire told the Ross Gazette: “We are so proud of our Brownies for wanting to raise this money and extremely grateful to our Brownies’ families for donating so generously.”

Myhre Syndrome is a very rare genetic disorder. To help raise awareness, Becky, Maddie and their families will be running the Pop Up Charity Shop in Gloucester Road at the beginning of August. They would be very grateful for any support.
